NATURAL ANTIHISTAMINE: ALSO FOR ALLERGIES THERE ARE EFFECTIVE NATURAL REMEDIES
Before talking about natural antihistamine, let's get rid of some statistics about allergic manifestations right away, are you there?
There is a slight prevalence of allergies in women.
Surely the hereditary factor has an important weight.
In children the frequency has tripled in 20 years.
About 17% of adults suffer from seasonal allergies.
The WHO estimates that 40% of the world's population suffers from allergic diseases.
More than 35% of adolescents suffer from allergic rhinitis.
As you can see it is difficult to pretend nothing has happened (those suffering from some annoying allergic form know it even better), these statistics make you feel the full weight of this widespread problem. Why, do we just want to spray ourselves with cortisone sprays until we pierce the nasal septum?
Or do we want to use another drug (the antihistamine) that is added to some other drug already in use? no come on. There are natural antihistamines, effective, with additional benefits and zero side effects.
See them soon ...
There are certain external elements that worsen allergies (before starting to use a natural antihistamine, consider also reducing these wherever possible)
Seasonal allergies are worsened by:
- Atmospheric heating
- Pesticides in agriculture
- Irritating agents
Curiosity: it is commonly thought that the rain "wash away" from the air the allergens that trigger rhinitis or asthma. On the contrary, a strong rain produces a higher emission of pollen, which only after several hours instead reduces their concentration in the air.
So those who suffer from pollen allergies should avoid going outdoors immediately after a heavy rain.
AS THE STRESS WORKS ALLERGIES: RELAX AS A NATURAL ANTISTAMINE
In the list of things that worsen seasonal allergies (shown above) I really should have added stress as well. But I kept it deliberately separated because it deserves a little in-depth study.
You must know that there seems to be a link between stress and allergies1,2 mediated by a molecule called Ngf (Nerve Growth Factor). This is the growth factor of neurons that won the Nobel prize for his discoverer Rita Levi Montalcini.
This signal-molecule activates the process of brain growth and tissue innervation. But this same molecule when it is overexpressed in stressed conditions of the body puts health at risk.
In particular with regard to the allergic phenomenon, there is a connection between NGF, histamine (which triggers many allergy symptoms) and inflammation.
NATURAL ANTISTAMINE: HOW IS AN ALLERGIC RHYSTAL?
A natural approach should consider the problem more broadly, also looking at the rebalancing of the entire organism and not just the immediate symptom.
In fact, doctors experienced in natural therapies, deal with the treatment of allergic forms in 4 steps and in this order: 1) Drainage, 2) Terrain, 3) Desensitization e 4) Symptom.
In this way we obtain a greater effect on the annoying symptom and we "work" at its definitive resolution.
A natural approach based on solid foundations can in fact manage to gradually eradicate the allergic problem, without this happening again.
Here in detail a "typical" path that is addressed in the natural treatment of allergic forms.
PHASE #1: DRAINAGE OF EMUNTORS
I report only a plant with a draining action. But it is rightly considered by many to be the most powerful and effective draining plant: the Burdock (Arctium Lappa).
PHASE #2: ACTION ON THE GROUND
Trace element Manganese.
In oligotherapy this mineral is useful to reduce the hyperreactivity of the sensitive subject. In fact, even some studies have confirmed its antihistamine activity.
Thus, manganese is already a natural antihistamine remedy, whose antiallergic action is strengthened by the remedies mentioned later in the article.
PHASE #3: DESENSITIZATION
This phase deals with reduced sensitivity to allergens which triggers the allergic reaction.
In traditional medicine this operation is carried out in a "violent" manner with the administration of doses gradually to higher concentrations of the allergen.
On the contrary, in homeopathy a similar (but different) operation is performed thanks to homeopathic doses of the allergen. So there is no violence against the organism. On the contrary, it is stimulated in some way to respond more normally to that substance which triggers the allergic reaction.
"Hey guaglione, but are you still talking about homeopathy ?! ... don't you know it's fresh water?"
Briefly, we say that with regard to the evidence of real effectiveness of homeopathy there are at least two considerations to be made ...
POLLENS 30CH: HOMEOPATHY AS A NATURAL ANTIHISTAMIN?
The first concerns high dilution homeopathy. This homeopathy is subject to criticism concerning the fact that in the high dilution homeopathic remedy there is no trace of the active ingredient.
Example: the homeopathic remedy Chamomilla 30CH or even more so the 200CH is so diluted that there is no more physical trace than the starting chamomile. So how does it work?
For many it simply cannot work (except through the placebo effect). For many others it works and how! but we do not yet know the working mechanism.
While the judges can agree with Piero Angela, because the trial truth is notoriously on another level with respect to the true truth, we are interested in maintaining a vision more open and without prejudice.
You must know that (at least) there are many studies that try to prove the effectiveness of homeopathy at least as many as those who try to prove its effectiveness.
Many studies state that homeopathy does not work and many studies state in the same way that homeopathy works (even without disturbing the placebo effect3).
But don't think that the studies that declare that homeopathy works are published on "paper wasted" (a demented little paper that I think only one copy I bought thirty years ago came out). No, some of these studies came out on prestigious Lancet medical journal.
Can you imagine that it has to go through a study to be declared scientific and to be published in Lancet? Well, one of the studies concerning the effectiveness of allergic desensitizing homeopathic remedies has just been published in Lancet4.
But do we also want to say a little bit about the much-vaunted effectiveness of traditional drugs? no, no, no, we're not my dear ...
I don't know if you are aware of the fact that from the studies on the effectiveness of the most used antidepressant drugs (SSRIs) it appears that these are as effective as placebo5.
That is, it seems that using antidepressant drugs or a little fresh water (the real one) has the same effectiveness in fighting depressive states. They are equally effective, equal.
You realize? And then they break the balls to homeopathic remedies! boooh.
And they certainly mention only the sources that declare their alleged ineffectiveness, never once they say at least for the sake of news: "Ah yes, then there is also such a study that reveals a certain efficacy of the double-blind homeopathic remedy against placebo" .
I do not know whether to smile or cry ... oh well this time I go for crying?
The second consideration concerns thelow dilution homeopathy.
The one that uses decimal dilutions like 10DH, 30DH, etc. In this type of homeopathic remedies the active ingredient is still physically present and can be found.
Of this type of homeopathy the skeptics continue to say that it does not work because it is always fresh water. But they say this only because it is called by the same name ("homeopathy"), not because they have done in-depth studies to understand if this works or not, if it is different from the first or not.
In other words, when they hear of "homeopathy" the vein closes. But homeopathy is not all the same to itself.
There is a high dilution homeopathy, of which you can also say that it no longer contains active ingredient. And there is also a low dilution homeopathy, which is NOT the same as the first one because the active principle still contains it.
Having said that, excuse the digression, and here is one of the homeopathic remedies declared effective against allergies on the Lancet.
È Pollens 30CH (dose tube).
An example of a highly appreciated desensitizing treatment is the remedy Pollens 30CH + Histamine 30CH. One single dose each week.
Or a compound remedy that includes these two principles mentioned above and a series of other common allergens which is called Pollen Histamine 200 plus® (Vanda company).
Ask your trusted pharmacist to choose the homeopathic remedy.
PHASE #4: SYMPTOMATOLOGICAL TREATMENT
The homeopathic remedies mentioned above act beautifully in synergy with specific phytotherapics such as Ribes nigrum e Boswellia serrata.
NATURAL ANTISTAMINE: GALPHIMIA GLAUCA CAV.
A natural antihistamine that is particularly useful when an important nerve component is present: Galphimia glauca Cav.
In fact, this plant also has a calming action together with its spectrum of actions against allergic manifestations. It is useful for allergies, pollinosis, rhinitis, oculorinitis, allergic asthma, allergic dermatitis.
For those suffering from anxiety or insomnia and at the same time it must also deflate an annoying allergy Galphimia glauca is the plant of choice.
NATURAL ANTISTAMINE: CAPPERO (SPINOSA CAPPARIS)
Didn't you expect it huh? ? … The caper is not only good on pizza, but also like natural antihistamine6.
To obtain this effect, however, it must be used in a phytotherapic form dry extract. In this form the caper is really useful in the following cases:
- Atopic dermatitis
- Food allergy
- Pollen allergies
- Solar allergies
- Other allergies
The caper as well as natural antihistamine is also used for its effect antiaging in natural cosmetics.
Warnings: pregnancy, lactation, children under 12 years.
NATURAL ANTISTAMINE: GINKGO BILOBA
We met this extraordinary plant also in a previous article on natural anticancer agents.
Ginkgo biloba also has other very interesting properties for use antiallergic. It is a natural antihistamine because it acts on the degranulation mechanism of the neutrophils that release histamine.
- Antiallergic effect
- Reduces inflammation
- Important antioxidant effect
- Controls bronchial phenomena associated with allergic asthma
The form of use of this plant is alternatively the hydralcolic solution (1: 5) the mother tincture (1: 10), or the glycerine macerate.
Warnings: pregnancy, lactation, use of anticoagulant drugs.
NATURAL ANTISTAMINE: LIQUORICE (GLYCYRRHIZA GLABRA)
Licorice has a real action corticosteroid-like. That is, it mimics the action of corticosteroid hormones.
This happens because some molecules (glycerretic acid) of his phytocomplex are a lot similar to cortisol and therefore succeed in stimulating the same cellular receptors activated also by these hormones.
If a subject needs anti-inflammatory action he can also think about the use of licorice rather than the corresponding corticosteroid drugs. Getting an action anyway antiallergic and an action inflammatory.
The indications of licorice related to its nature of natural antihistamine are the following:
- Respiratory allergies
- Atopic dermatitis
- Food allergy
- Hypotensive states
- Fatigue (in the allergic)
Warnings: Never exceed the dosage indicated on the labels of liquorice-based products. Do not take more than 4-6 weeks without medical advice. Do not take during pregnancy, lactation, in children under 12 years, if there is hypertension, hypokalemia. In addition, it enhances steroid and digitalis drugs. It interferes with Warfarin and salicylates, hinders the activity of the spironolactone.
Don't forget to avoid the antiallergic effect of these natural antihistamines histamine foods.
FOODS THAT CONTAIN ISTAMINE AND FOODS THAT STIMULATE THE RELEASE: TO AVOID IN THE EVENT OF ALLERGY
Foods with histamine action (to be avoided in case of allergies)
The worst of the worst in relation to allergies is i fermented cheeses. They are the food with the highest histamine content.
I remind you that histamine is the substance that stimulates the istamino-mediated allergic reaction in the body.
To follow (after the fermented cheeses) ...
To a lesser extent we also have:
- Fermented drinks
The ones we have just seen above are foods with a high histamine content, but there are also foods that work with another mechanism: stimulate histamine release once ingested.
The final effect is the same, that is the stimulus of the allergic symptom.
Here is what the foods are that worse allergic symptoms:
- Egg whites
- Shellfish and seafood
- Some types of fish (especially canned)
In fact, you can find several of these foods also in a blog article that contains a list of foods that can cause headaches as an effect of allergic reactivity.
In case of allergy, it begins by avoiding (especially) these foods:
- Fermented cheeses
Incidentally, fermented cheeses and even more so the sausages hurt in an absolute sense and not only in relation to allergies.
Also minimize the sources of stress and toxins environmental. In this way you prepare the ground and you will increase the effectiveness of the natural antihistamines that I have indicated to you.
For an effective treatment it is better to start (in time) with a natural purification of the excretory organs. In this regard, the Burdock it is considered one of the most effective purifying plants.
It continues with an action on the ground, typically with theManganese trace element.
Then, continue with the homeopathic desensitization phase using Pollens 30CH (for pollen allergies) e Histamine 30CH (for a reduction of the histamine stimulus).
Among the most immediately effective plants against allergic symptoms are indicated: Ribes nigrum, Boswellia, Galphimia glauca, Caper, Licorice, Ginkgo. Forms of use, special warnings and specific benefits are indicated in detail above.
I hope this battle plan will help you make peace with allergens?
And what is the allergen that creates problems for you? have you already tried to tackle the problem with drugs or natural remedies? if you have any comments or suggestions write it at the bottom of the article in the space dedicated to comments.
See you soon,
