The topic of this first podcast is the phytates (or phytic acid). Why the choice of this particular topic?
Today we still hear statements like ...
"Phytates are anti-nutrients, phytates sequester minerals, phytates must be minimized. They could even represent one of the causes of osteoporosis".
Perhaps this fearful attitude towards the phytates has had its day and today it may no longer make sense to exist thanks to new, more solid and stimulating research that has recently emerged ...
I will talk about important studies that have transformed the phytates from a "vampire of minerals" to a life-saving molecule.
... Moreover, phytates are naturally contained in some of the universally recognized foods (on a scientific basis) as the healthiest in the world.
That is: whole grains, oil seeds and legumes.
There will be a reason why these foods are invariably associated with greater longevity and health!
